Tool inputs

Many Encrypt Online tools perform their main transformation in the page. The site is a static application, and ordinary tool inputs stay in the page rather than being sent to an Encrypt Online application server for storage. Analytics, advertising, hosting, browser extensions, and tools that contact a remote target can still create network activity.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand page visits, sessions, approximate location, and browser or device information. Google Analytics is loaded sitewide, including on tool pages, unless a browser, extension, network control, or Google setting blocks it. Site code limits Analytics event parameters to site-use data and excludes tool inputs, passwords, keys, file contents, and generated values. The site currently uses Google Analytics rather than Microsoft Clarity.

These services may use cookies or similar identifiers to connect page views into sessions. Their handling of data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.

Advertising

We use Google AdSense to display advertising. AdSense remains loaded sitewide, including on tool pages, unless blocked by the browser or network. Google and other authorized advertising vendors may use cookies or similar identifiers to serve and measure ads, limit repeated ads, and personalize advertising according to their settings, controls, and policies.

Log Data

Our static hosting and delivery providers may receive standard request information needed to deliver the site, such as IP address, requested URL, browser information, timestamps, and error details. Analytics and advertising providers control their own retention periods under their policies and account settings.

Cookies and your controls

Cookies help analytics and advertising services distinguish browsers and connect activity across a session. You can block or delete cookies through your browser. Blocking them may change analytics, advertising, saved theme preferences, or other site behavior. Google also provides a Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

If you email us or use the contact information on this site, we receive the information included in your message. Keep support messages to the minimum non-sensitive details needed to help, with tool secrets, passwords, private keys, and sensitive files remaining in their protected environment.

Limits of local processing
