DecryptLink
Decrypt Link Tool
Decrypt Link attempts to recover a URL string created by Encrypt Link using the original passphrase. A recovered URL is not proof that its destination is trustworthy.
How does it work?
- Paste the encrypted link.
- Enter the passphrase used during encryption.
- Copy the original URL when it appears.
Why decryption fails
- Incorrect passphrase.
- Missing or altered characters in the encrypted link.
- Whitespace or line breaks inserted by email/chat apps.
If the output is blank
- Re-copy the encrypted link as plain text.
- Confirm the passphrase matches exactly (case-sensitive).
- Try decrypting in a fresh tab to clear hidden characters.
Verify before opening
Always check the decrypted domain before you open the link. If something looks off, confirm the sender and passphrase again.
Why use this tool?
Use Decrypt Link when someone shares an encrypted URL and you need to verify or open the destination. For general text decryption, use the Decrypt Tool.
How do I encrypt my URL?
Use the Encrypt Link tool to generate the encrypted URL and share the passphrase separately.
