Encrypt Link

Encrypt Link turns a URL into an encrypted link you can share with a passphrase. Use it for private URLs like payment pages, invite links, or internal dashboards.

1. Paste the URL you want to protect.
2. Enter a passphrase (or generate one).
3. Copy the encrypted link and share it along with the passphrase.

The full URL string is encrypted with your passphrase. This hides the destination from anyone who does not have the passphrase, but it does not change the access controls of the destination itself.

• Send the encrypted link and passphrase in separate messages or channels.
• Copy as plain text to avoid auto-linking or formatting changes.
• Use short-lived links or expiring access when possible.

• Wrong passphrase or missing characters.
• Extra whitespace or line breaks added by chat apps.
• Truncated links or characters replaced by auto-formatting.

Use Encrypt Link when you need to share a URL without exposing the destination in plain text. The link can only be opened by someone with the passphrase. For general text, use the Encrypt Tool.

URL encoding makes a link safe to transmit by escaping characters. Encryption hides the destination entirely.

Open the Decrypt Link tool and enter the encrypted link and the same passphrase used to encrypt it.
