Decrypt Tweet
Decrypt encrypted tweets
Decrypt the ciphertext with the matching passphrase and verify the recovered text before sharing it.
Input + output
EOE1 values are detected automatically. Choose legacy AES-CBC for output created by the older Encrypt Tweet workflow.
Enter the passphrase used when the value was encrypted.

Encrypted message formats
Encrypt Tweet now creates a versioned EOE1 AES-256-GCM envelope by default. This page also supports unprefixed AES-256-CBC values created by the older workflow when you select legacy compatibility.
Encrypted output is longer than the original text and is not format-preserving.
How decryption works
- Paste the encrypted message into the input.
- Enter the same passphrase used during encryption.
- Decrypt the value and review the recovered text.
- If decryption fails, confirm the ciphertext was copied without missing characters.
What this page can recover
This tool is designed for ciphertext created by Encrypt Tweet with the same passphrase and selected format. Encrypt Online does not store passphrases or provide passphrase recovery, and this route does not decrypt unrelated formats.
